Do you have a DREAM?
On 28th August 1963, Dr Martin Luther King Jr presented one of the greatest speeches in the history of mankind.
This speech and the freedom march that took place that day in Washington DC was the turning point in the civil rights movements, and his words have been immortalised.
So what was it all about?
Now you too can also be there and listen to Dr King’s words, thanks to YouTube. The video clip is just over 17 minutes long, so click on the picture below, sit back and enjoy being inspired by one of the greatest men of the 20th century.
As you watch this clip, I invite you to think about these 3 questions:-
What is YOUR dream?
What can you do with your life to change the world forever?
When will you begin?
“It only takes one step to start the journey to reaching your ultimate goal[s]”
Thanks for bringing this to my awareness. I never knew there was a recording of the moment and it’s great to now have seen it and be a part of it 🙂
I find it very interesting how Martin Luther King shares his name with Martin Luther the German priest. His reformation and breaking away from the Catholic church back in the early 1500s has shaped the cultures of North-West Europe and North America.
Yes, Jorgen interesting how their names and life paths were so similar.
Maybe we should change our names by deed poll – and then also leave a lasting legacy for the world:-)
1. What is YOUR dream?
For people to have the courage to live extraordinary lives, embracing every moment in the present and focusing on best the best they can be.
2. What can you do with your life to change the world forever?
Build relationships with the world’s most influential figures to find my “tribe” who believes in living to their fullest, and helping other people do the same.
3. When will you begin?
Already have. 🙂
Yongho, thanks for sharing your inspiring dream.
And you are already on your way to finding your “tribe” of people who believe in living to their fullest and helping other people do the same. Well done:-)
I wish you all the best on your journey. Dr King is proud of you!
