A few years ago, I was attending a company annual gathering of managers and the managing director (same as president in the USA) made a rousing speech to get us all inspired and motivated for the coming year.
We had just been bought out by another company and there was a lot of uncertainty and also resentment towards the many new people who had been integrated into the original company.
I will always remember the words he used to end his speech. He said these were the most powerful 10 two-letter words he knew for success and for making it happen:-
“If it is to be, it is up to us”
I don’t remember anything else about his speech but those words have stuck. Another variation of those words is:-
“If it is to be, it is up to me”
So remember from now onwards, if there is anything you want to make happen, it really is up to YOU.
On that note, what will you make happen?
What is your wildest dream?
If there was one thing you must do in your lifetime, what is that?
Wow! When you said two-letter words I thought what kind of motivation can one get from two letter words but your right. It”s catchy and easy to remember.
How simple and true. I will be sharing this at our staff meeting next week. Thank you.
I was feeling a little low as today I was in a situation which made me feel I was being used
but it is all about attitude isn’t it?? so onward and upward and not feelings of resentment
I rather like the quotation
if you can’t change your circumstances change your attitude
enjoy!!! am off to be positive and happy, thank you
